UPDATE: THE WILCO POSTERS ARE SOLD OUT. Hi All, Hope you’re having a good summer so far. We wanted to drop a quick note to let you know we have a very SMALL handful of Wilco’s Solid Sound posters available for sale RIGHT NOW! They sold out within ten minutes at the show, so this is your last chance to get your hands on this collectors item. They were screen printed on-site at MASS MoCA during the festival over the course of three days. On a completely different tip we have a few copies of the latest poster we did for Canadian punk heroes F*$#ed Up. Get their new record, it’s on my top ten of 2011 so far. Next on the agenda is a limited edition screen print for our pals putting on this year’s Swamp Stomp. It will be available at the show. If you’re in New England, I highly recommend taking the time to go to this. I’m sure it will be a barn burner as always.

The Holidays are upon us!

Hello Everyone. The Holidays are upon us and it’s time to start thinking about those Holiday gifts you need to give. I have just the thing for you slackers that haven’t even started yet. A slew of new posters that are ready for framed gift giving! Order by DECEMBER 12 and I’ll make sure they get there before Christmas. After that and I can’t make any promises. First off, I was lucky enough to do the official print for WILCO’s taping of their ACL episode in Austin TX. Keep an eye on local PBS stations for when it airs. I hear from my friends that went that it was a fantastic show. Limited to a run of 200 – it sold out completely – BUT – I was able to secure 50 artist prints for sale exclusively on this little ol’ web site! So if you’re interested in one of the more rare or hard to find Wilco posters, this is right up your alley because there’s nowhere else to get it… well except maybe e-bay! Up next, a few copies of the DEER TICK poster for their show in Boston. Also sold out at the gig but we have some here for you. Printed on recycled chipboard and sporting a neon orange rat, who wouldn’t want this bad boy on their wall? Maybe you went to one of the many sold out shows our ol’ English friend Frank Turner just did. If you went to the Boston show maybe you got one of the prints that also sold out. If not, don’t fear I saved a few for you. Get one here. I had the great opportunity to do a poster for one of the dates on the X tour currently happening. I love X and it’s an honor to be able to do any work for such a legendary punk band. Check them out or any of the members’ solo projects, it’s all REALLY, great music. ( Plus I hear they blew away Pearl Jam on the opening slot recently, whats more Punk Rock than that! No offense PJ. ) I would like to give a special thanks to our friends at NS2 that allowed us an opportunity to do some work for Paul Simon. The posters were available at his show only. Hopefully there will be a few screen prints available here in the near future. Currently I’m working on a brand new print for the Mighty Mighty Bosstones’ annual Home Town Throw Down, available at the December shows. Thanks to everyone that helped support the studio and the artwork this year by purchasing a print, sending in pictures or e-mails, coming to the gallery shows or just spending some time at the merch booth to have a little conversation. THANK YOU.

Hello All,
Very excited this month to release a new print collaboration between myself and the multi-talented artist William Schaff. You may know Will from his cover art for bands such as Okkervil River, Songs: Ohia and Godspeed You!, Black Emperor among many others. Will’s work includes paintings, drawings, collages, scratch boards, mail art, motion pictures, and comics. To say I am excited about this release is an understatement.

This art print is a 6-color 18 x 24 inch screen print on heavy duty paper, signed by each artist and numbered. Limited edition of 70 prints.

I don’t expect these to be around very long, so if you’re interested – snap to it »

On a side note, due to the overwhelming number of orders for the new studio t-shirt, we will be printing more really soon. Thanks to all who bought one. If you haven’t yet, check out the merch section on the site and take a gander at the new design. Perfect for the summer.

A lot of exciting things coming up throughout the summer, so keep your eyes peeled. One thing we can announce is our return to Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival this year. We’ll have a new design that we will be printing right there on site. Should be a good time and man what a great line up. A huge thanks to Wilco and their management for having us back. It’s always a pleasure to work with such a great group of people.

Hi Everyone,
Just in time for spring and summer – a New Ghost-Town Tee! This bad boy debuted at SXSW this year at our FlatStock booth and we blew out of em’. So we decided to offer them up on the site. Get them while they’re hot and be the coolest kid on the block.

New posters and additional surprises in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out.

Hello All,
Hope everyone made it through the winter season ok. Here in New England it was a TOUGH one, BUT spring is just around the corner. I always gauge it by taking a little trip to Austin, TX and SXSW to do the annual Flat Stock Poster Convention. It’s a who’s who of the countries finest designers. So if you happen to be in Austin during SXSW, come by and say hello. Along with posters we will have a new button set and tee-shirt designs for sale. When we get back it will ALMOST be spring, which is good enough for me.

We put up a few new posters for some local bands: The Low Anthem and Girl Haggard as well as a new poster for my pals in Flogging Molly. I did a lot of their merch for this tour, so if you happen to go to one of the shows, pick up a tee shirt!

TWO SPECIAL EVENTS!

Hello All, Hope you all survived the winter. Here in New England it’s been MILD to say the least. I love it. All sorts of stuff is happening here at Ghost-Town. Currently I’m working on a poster for punk legends CockSparrer and their 40th anniversary show in San Francisco. Along with them, Rancid is celebrating their 20th year. A huge thanks to my pals at Pirates Press for helping to make this poster happen. Those guys are swell. It will be on sale at the show and any leftovers will be available here on the site. I’m also working on a very special project for one of my favorite local bands, the Silks. Check out their Facebook page and go to the shows! www.facebook.com/thesilksmusic A whole ton of other posters are in the works, but I can’t say just yet. Lets just say I’ll be busy.

The first of the Ghost-Town sponsored Late Night Drinkin’ events will be on Thursday, March 8th at the E&O. Every few months I’ll have a special DJ or DJ’s. There will be limited edition screen prints given away for free to the first few people in the door. The first GTS presents will have Glen & Matt Trap from Dead Air playing some of their favorite songs, so you KNOW that’s going to be a night of good music. Come hang out, dance, drink, meet some friends and have some fun.

After that, we fly to Austin, TX for the annual SXSW FlatStock Convention. March 14-17, 2012 at The Austin Convention Center. Hosted by the American Poster Institute and SXSW. Come by our booth and say hi. It’s going to be a party!

Tons of New Screenprint ...

Hi All,
Spring is upon us and here at Ghost-Town we’ve been super busy. We have a whole New Batch of Prints up and ready for sale. Lots of them with skulls. I’ve been in a skull mood lately.

First off, we have a small hand-full of prints for the official Cock Sparrer / Rancid anniversary shows in San Francisco. 40 years and 20 years, respectively. Huge shout out to Pirates Press and both bands for the honor of documenting this historic event in punk rock music. These sold out at the show, so the only place to get one is here. With the success of that run we were asked to do the official poster for their East Coast Tour as well. This will be available at the shows with a few for sale here after the shows are over.

Next up – a print for the hardcore legends Converge. This poster went FAST and I have a few left for sale here. The line up was amazing and Converge slayed as usual.

Got to do a print for one of my heroes Steve Earle. Two words for that man – Bad Ass. Nuff’ said.

The Silks is probably one of the best damn bands to come out of the East Coast in a long time. Most of these are gone but I have a few here. Yes, there will be a second half of this coming out at some point.

My pals the Street Dogs toured Japan and Australia to great acclaim this spring. We have some prints to commemorate both of those tours.

Lucero and J. Roddy Watson blew the doors off the Met here in RI. Here is the print to commemorate that fine event.

I was VERY excited to have a chance to do a print for the Queen of Divas, the almighty Diana Ross. I used to listen to the Supremes with my mom when I was a kid. One of my favorite girl groups of all time. This was an honor.

Do you like Spiritualized, Spaceman 3? If not, we can’t be friends. This will be available at the May 9th show and here if anything is left.

Next day I did a print for CAKE. Man are they a fun band. Available at the show with a tiny amount here for those that don’t make it out to this SOLD OUT show!

Last but no least, a print for an AMAZING lineup – Los Lobos (with Neko Case & Alejandro Escovedo) and special guests X and Mariachi El Bronx. All part of Los Lobos’ first Cinco De Mayo Festival in Los Angeles. Get one while they last.

Thanks for the support.

Hi All, Hope your holiday planning is going well. Been busy working on all sorts of projects. Currently working on a layout for a vinyl 45 for some pals of mine. It’s sort of under wraps at the moment but I’ll fill you in as soon as I can. I CAN tell you it’s a collaboration with artwork for one of TV’s most famous late night talk show hosts…. I’d like to mention I have some work in the following books that came out this past year. Star Guitars: 101 Guitars That Rocked the World by Dave Hunter and Billy F Gibbons Rock Paper Show: Flatstock Volume One by Geoff Peveto, Paula Scher, Craig Finn, and John Foster Both are great books and available at Amazon.com or a fine books store near you. (support your locals) Thanks to the publishers for including me in these projects.

New posters up for sale include:

  • Coheed and Cambria from a show over the summer. Only a few left.
  • A poster for Built to Spill’s latest tour.
  • One for the always amazing Hold Steady
  • And last but not least, my poster that was part of the recent Guided by Voices reunion tour. Most of these sold out at the show but I kept a few aside for the website, so get them while they last. This was one of the BEST Rock shows I’ve seen in recent years. If you get a chance to catch this tour, DO IT!

Happy Holidays

Pete / Ghost-Town Studio

Hey All,
Just a few updates for you this time around…

First off, our apologies if you have had problems getting on the site the past few months. We were having a few issues with our server. I think we are back on track. Please email me directly if you are having any other problems at .

We want to send a big thank you to the fine folks over at Swamp Stomp who put on a fantastic show again this year. Do yourself a favor and see the Sadies if you ever get a chance. They WILL blow you away. Cordero is also well worth your time – fantastic band, great to dance to, all around good time. Unfortunatly, the poster, which you can see here, is all sold out, but I may have some artist proofs avaiable down the road.

I did a poster for my good pal Drew (ex Lost City Angels) and his new project Cradle to the Grave. Check em’ out!

Also, a promo for a favorite of mine, the legendery B.B. King. Only have a small amout of these for sale.

I will be at Wilco’s Sonic Sound Festival (www.solidsoundfestival.com) Aug 13-15. Two of the days we will be doing a screenprinting demo. We will be printing a special poster made just for the show. So come visit us if your at the festival. It’s bound to be a fun time.

As for now, enjoy the end of your summer. Fall is just around the corner with lots of new projects in the works.
